A Freshly Squeezed Margarita

by Courtney

I tinkered with some ingredients to make the tastiest margarita. I have never been terribly into the traditional mixer and wanted to try a fresh spin on the drink. I found a few recipes online and developed my own version. (Side note-I am in love with this Joanna Gaines Salt Cellar. You can find it here: salt cellar.)

I grabbed a few limes and juiced them.

I added some agave syrup (about 1/2 a tsp) and simple syrup to taste. I like mine more on the tart side, but you can add more simple syrup as you like to cut down on that. Then I added a shot of high quality tequila.

I rubbed a lime on the rim of the glass and then dipped it into the salt. Pour it over some ice and you have a fresh tasting margarita! I don’t think I can ever make them the “normal” way again.
