We did a very big thing.
In March, David and I made a very big decision. We decided to relocate our family. It was an extremely hard decision, but knew it was one we had to make. Two days after making this huge decision, schools were cancelled and we were told to stay home. I was devastated initially, but I kept thinking ‘have faith, this is clearly supposed to be part of the journey.’ During that time, I started to get our house in NC ready. I researched towns and areas and schools. It was hard, but I knew that I needed to really just trust the journey. And then one day, it all fell into place.
The beginning of June, we rented a house on Amelia Island for the summer. We searched for the perfect new landing spot to call our home in North Florida and put our house on the market. It sold immediately and we were lucky enough to find a house that took our breath away in a community we loved. No joke, my head is still spinning as I am trying to organize and unpack our life.
I needed to step away from the computer to juggle all of this, but as my closest of friends have told me repeatedly, I needed to write about it all once we settled. This has been an adventure.
