Cooking with my girl

by Courtney

I just realized I never shared the pictures of Georgia and I cooking dinner on Valentine’s Day! They must be shared. She took the whole thing extremely seriously and had a blast.

We made fettucini alfredo (and made RED noodles for Valentine’s Day!) When I said, go ahead and put the butter into the cream…she actually threw the stick in. Sauce went everywhere, but it was hilarious.

She just seemed like such a big girl. And when she realized I was taking pictures, she got up and started posing.

Today was such a nice day. I met my friend Christina for lunch. We ate at the Pickled Peach in Davidson (it is absolutely delicious) and talked for several hours. She is one of those friends that just knows how to help me organize my thoughts. I have been excitedly writing nonstop about the journey to wellness…it’s pouring out and I needed to make sense of it all before I can even start turning them into blog posts. She is so amazing at that and I left with so much clarity. I can’t wait to organize all of my thoughts tomorrow.

That is one of the things I am so thankful for…good, supportive girlfriends. The older we get, the more we cherish the friendships that bring out the best in us.
